Alexandra Aller-Olson is a writer, media consultant and creative.
Born and bred in Queens, New York, she got her start in the neighboring borough of Brooklyn (the golden days before Vice bought out South Williamsburg) working for Northside Music Festival and Brooklyn Magazine. Inspired by the many artists around her, she moved to LA and was signed to Sony RED and APA. After a short but artistically fulfilling musical jaunt, she began pursuing writing and consulting.
In 2020, she released the project, Building You Up, a novel with a corresponding original musical soundtrack about teen grief and mental health. It was featured in V magazine, CW’s hit TV show Nancy Drew and in 2024 placed as a finalist in the Filmmatic Pitch Now Screenplay Season 6 Competition, Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Cinematic Book Competition, and Semifinalist in the Season 7 Inroads Fellowship.
In 2024, she released her first poetry book, I Wish My Heart Was Always Filled With Wind.
She has and continues to consult for a range of lovely brands and businesses, but found her sweet spot in the mental wellness and healing space. Today she works on all things media and partnerships with Make Meaning Workshop.
She is a Beat Generation and American postmodern independent researches primarily focusing on contributing pieces that restore the legacy of the women of the eras, notably discovering and publishing a piece on Diane di Prima’s forgotten home in Topanga Canyon to be logged in the Topanga Historical Society.
She is currently editing her next book (historical fiction novel) but is open to writing commissions and brand consulting work on referral.
